Privacy Policy

Runway Paper ("we", "us") is an independent digital magazine. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit the site, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

Newsletter signups. If you subscribe, we collect your email address. We use it to send you the newsletter and nothing else. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately.

Analytics. We use analytics tools to understand how the site is used — pages visited, referral sources, device type, and approximate location derived from your IP address. These include PostHog and Vercel Web Analytics (cookieless) and Google Analytics, loaded via Google Tag Manager. We use this data in aggregate to improve the magazine and to describe our audience to advertising partners.

Advertising measurement. We use the Meta Pixel to measure the performance of our own promotion on Meta platforms and to build audiences for it. We do not run third-party ad networks on the site, and we do not sell your personal information for money. You can opt out of ad-related sharing at any time — see Do Not Sell or Share below.

Correspondence. If you email us — a pitch, an advertising inquiry, a correction — we keep the correspondence for as long as we need it to handle your request.

Cookies & consent

Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel use cookies. If you are visiting from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, these are off by default and only turn on if you accept the consent banner — you can reject it and the site works identically. Elsewhere, they are on by default and you can opt out below. We also honor the Global Privacy Control browser signal automatically. You can additionally block cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, the Meta Pixel's audience-building may count as "sharing" personal information. Use this switch to opt out on this device — it stops ad-related cookies and sharing immediately, no account or email required.

Third parties

The site is hosted on Vercel; our content is managed with Sanity; analytics are processed by PostHog, Vercel, and Google; ad measurement by Meta. Each of these providers processes limited technical data (such as IP addresses) to deliver their service. We do not share your email address with advertisers or sponsors.

Your rights

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act. To exercise any of these, email hello@runwaypapermagazine.com.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Material changes to how we handle newsletter data will be announced in the newsletter itself.
