Runway Paper / Standards
How We Work
Editorial standards, corrections, and where the line sits between our stories and our sponsors.
Editorial independence
Our stories are assigned, reported, and edited by our editorial team. Advertisers and sponsors do not review, approve, or influence editorial coverage — of themselves or of anyone else. Buying a placement buys space, not opinion.
Sponsored content
When a brand pays for a story, we say so. Sponsored stories carry a partnership label at the top of the page, and the sponsor is identified by name. If a story isn't labelled, nobody paid for it.
Accuracy and sourcing
We verify facts before publishing and attribute claims to their sources. Quotes are real, in context, and on the record unless anonymity was agreed and is warranted. Photos are credited to the photographers who made them, and we don't publish undisclosed AI-generated writing or images.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we fix it — in the story itself, with a note explaining what changed and when. We don't quietly rewrite history. Spotted an error? Email hello@runwaypapermagazine.com with the story link and we'll review it promptly.
Conflicts of interest
Contributors disclose personal or financial relationships with the people and brands they cover, and we disclose material ones to readers. Gifts and comped access don't buy coverage, and we say when access shaped a story.
Ownership
Runway Paper is independently owned and operated. Our revenue comes from advertising and sponsored content, always disclosed as described above. See About for more on the publication.
