Weinsanto
Victor Weinsanto, a former assistant to Jean Paul Gaultier, founded his label in 2020 and quickly became known for theatrical, cabaret-inflected runway shows and exuberant silhouettes loyal to his Alsatian origins. Weinsanto — a Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres — remains founder and creative director.
Profile
WeinsantoWeinsanto trained in classical dance before turning to fashion, and the stage never left the work: his Paris shows are staged as performances first — drag artists, dancers, and cabaret performers walk alongside models, and the clothes are built to move with them. The house vocabulary runs to corsetry, exaggerated volume, vinyl shine, and a camp humor that owes an open debt to his mentor Gaultier’s enfant-terrible years.
Beneath the theater sits real French craft — sharp construction, couture finishing on club-ready clothes — which is what carried the label onto the official Paris calendar within a few seasons of launch and earned its founder one of France’s highest cultural honors before his thirtieth birthday.
