The sisters split the work from the start — Nicky designing, Simone building the business — and their breakthrough insight was treating swimwear with fashion-level cut and print, an Australian fluency the northern hemisphere didn’t have. From there the house grew into full collections of florals, broderie, and sun-drunk occasion dressing, carried by boutiques across Australia, the United States, Europe, and Asia.

The move to the Paris runway in 2022 formalized what buyers already knew: Zimmermann had become a global luxury house. Its shows bottle an Antipodean ease — resort dressing elevated to runway polish — that stands apart on a calendar dominated by black tailoring.
