Casablanca
Casablanca was founded in 2018 by Paris-born designer Charaf Tajer, who remains founder and creative director. The house translates Tajer’s French-Moroccan heritage into an “après-sport” vocabulary — silk shirting, tennis-club iconography, saturated print, and a leisure-as-luxury worldview spanning ready-to-wear, accessories, and footwear.
Profile
CasablancaTajer came up through Paris streetwear — a co-founder of the cult label Pigalle — before building Casablanca on a different dream: the world after the match, the pool after the drive, luxury as leisure rather than status. Printed silk shirts drawn like travel posters became the house signature, alongside towelling, knit polos, and a palette borrowed from Mediterranean light.
An LVMH Prize finalist early in the label’s life, Tajer scaled quickly into a full Paris calendar house with global retail and a long-running New Balance partnership that put après-sport on actual feet. Casablanca’s optimism — sun-drunk, sincere, unembarrassed by pleasure — has proven one of the most distinctive brand voices to emerge from Paris in the past decade.
